Semester Under Way!

No matter if students are volunteers in chapel, learning together in classrooms, or assisting in the fight against cancer by donating money to wear hats and pajamas to school, there is never a dull moment at ACA! With the new semester, we had eight new students enroll. Six of these were at the elementary level, one in junior high, and one in high school. We are enjoying these new students and are grateful to have them at ACA.

Senora Raquel Alvarez joined ACA with the new semester. She is our new Spanish teacher through The Language Project (TLP). You were introduced to her through a letter that was sent from the office early January. If you did not yet read about Dr. Alvarez, you may do so as the information is on our website - Dr. Alvarez.

Emily Bunting, the Iowa Representative for TLP, assisted teachers, students, and Senora Alvarez to instruction for second semester using visual cards, songs, and movement. See Ms. Bunting (left) and Senora Alvarez (right) pictured below in the second grade when they learned about their body parts and action words. TLP will continue through May at ACA.
